10/18 Songwriters Circle ft. Milan & the Ellipsis, Adam Snyder, & Jonathan Edwards

$15.00

Milan & the Ellipsis are a synth cello pop duo whose music is meant to soften the pain of living in a world on fire. Raised in a family of musicians and artists, Milan started the cello at 8 years old and has played it ever since. In 2022, she started experimenting with a looper to make ethereal textures, pouring beats, anguish and hope on top. A worshiper of earth and the abundance that can happen when humans and nonhumans work in solidarity, her music reflects on yearnings for a restored world. Inspired by her work, Sam Pilbeam joined the project in the winter of 2025, providing synth blankets and guitar rhythms to activate the songs. The duo invites audiences to move with them.

Adam J. Snyder is a guitarist and songwriter based in Ypsilanti, MI who draws influence from a broad range of folk, rock, and blues artists. Snyder’s original music consists of thoughtful lyrics, soulful melodies and upbeat intricate guitar work.

Jonathan Edwards is a songwriter and guitarist based in Ypsilanti. Formally a member of Detroit band The Silent Years and a founding member of Ann Arbor band Skeleton Birds, he has also worked on numerous collaborative projects across myriad genres with other Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor-based musicians. He released a full-length album, Wild Ghosts, in 2023 and is set to release a new five song EP this year. These recordings feature intimate songs exploring loss, grief and self-sacrifice, often framed within rich atmospheric production and emotive string arrangements. Jonathan teaches guitar and songwriting courses at The University of Michigan and runs the guitar program at Eastern Michigan University.
