Olivia Roumel is a Denver-based singer-songwriter who embraces a soulful and vocal-centric sound. She infuses her songs with R&B and soul influences, held down by her deep foundation and continual exploration of vocal jazz. Liv’s love for and time spent in the wilderness has seeped its way into her lyrical landscapes, creating metaphors within vivid stories of inner growth. 

Olivia was raised in Ann Arbor Michigan, but was pulled to Colorado as a young adult. In her early days there, she explored the Boulder Pearl Street busking community and developed her songwriting and voice as an artist. She released an album of just vocals and acoustic guitar and played solo gigs under the name Liv Phoenix. Through the years, she has found her way back to a more jazzy and neo-soul based sound, working on intentional, instrumentally layered recordings that have yet to be released. Liv dropped a single in June of 2022 called “The Spring”, full of psychedelic, echoey vocal and guitar layers. 

In addition to performing as a solo artist and working as a featured vocalist with various bands, Olivia has found her voice in a Boulder-based trio called Luma Sky. She plays as a rhythm guitarist and lead singer, weaving the collective influences together to embrace a funky, groovy, and soulful vibe. Liv is thrilled to be working on releasing music with this group and under her solo project in 2023 and beyond.
