DOORS AT 6:00 | CONCERT AT 6:30
Ann Arbor singer-songwriter Anne Erlewine explores gentle zones of sound with her deceptively stark acoustic guitar strum and delicate lyricism - kindred to her sensitivities as a fine artist - reflective and vulnerable in equal measure.
Her debut album Over the Bones was produced by acclaimed singer-songwriter Chris Bathgate and recorded at High Bias Recordings in Detroit, with the musical support of local artists.
Monte Pride is a Michigan-born and based singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist whose music recalls the delicate vocals of Simon & Garfunkel, with guitar-work reminiscent of The Tallest Man On Earth and early Joni Mitchell. Paired with electric, ambient soundscapes, he blends haunting melodies with vivid lyricism to create lush, experimental folk songs.
Anne & Monte will be performing with the support and grace of seasoned musicians Alex Anest (lap steel/electric guitar) and Ozzie Andrews (upright bass) - both local culture jammers attuned to carving sonic balance with skill and sensitivity.
