Katie Smith backed by house Hot Club band Djangophonique. Having recently returned to Michigan, Smith fronts her own group Cabaret Boreale, and performs regularly with Djangophonique, in addition to a variety of other projects around the area. Smith is both dynamic and precise, embodying the vibe of the era with a voice that at once feels effortlessly light, while at the same time grounded in a fullness and depth that combined, convey a sound rich with color and meaning.
