Ann-Arbor based singer songwriter Milan Seth has been performing for over 25 years. Combining a smooth classic country baritone with a musical sensibility owing as much to Elvis Costello as Merle Haggard, Milan shares honest observations about life, love, and politics. He will be joined by duo Moon and the Muse.
Moon and the Muse is the folk duo of singer-songwriter Melissa Welsh and singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Willow Martin. They are currently wrapping up work on their first album, a self-titled garden of songs that will shine light on the moments of their meeting, their friendship growing and deepening, and, eventually, their love. While based in folk, their sound invites country and blues, as well as a bit of Bossa nova floating through on at least one track.
Moon and the Muse’s original songs are deeply heartfelt, lyrically rich personal stories that will open your heart to the magic in your own story. Melissa allows every emotion to be conveyed through her singing, while Willow always finds the perfect accompaniment to enhance and raise each song into clear, emotional sound.
Willow and Melissa both grew up surrounded by the magical music of the 60s and 70s, and studiously soaked up everything great that came after that. As such, they also like to include covers that you may not have heard in a while, or that you will be happy to hear for the first time.
